A Day In Harare: Bruce and Wendy’s African Adventure
After departing Ethiopia, Bruce & Wendy headed to Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. They had a wonderful day exploring the area, including downtown, a number of different neighbourhoods, and some of the city’s best attractions!
Their day started early as they headed downtown to see some of the city’s most historic sites. The National Gallery of Zimbabwe was their first stop, where they enjoyed a range of contemporary African art. Next, they visited the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, where they learned about the country’s rich history and cultural heritage.
After a quick lunch at the Queen of Hearts restaurant, Wendy and Bruce headed out to the Kuimba Bird Park, a beautiful nature reserve that is home to many different species of birds. As they walked around the park, they were amazed by the stunning sights and sounds of the different birds they saw. From brightly coloured parrots to majestic eagles, the Kuimba Bird Park was a nature lover’s paradise.
Next up on their itinerary was a visit to the Lion Park, where they saw some of Africa’s most magnificent animals up close. Wendy and Bruce were thrilled to be able to spend some time with the baby lions, which was definitely the highlight of their trip to the park. They also saw zebras, giraffes, and even a few rhinos on their safari ride.
For their final stop of the day, Wendy and Bruce headed to the Mukuvisi Woodlands, a beautiful nature reserve on the outskirts of Harare. They went on a walk in the park and were able to see more animals such as warthogs, monkeys, and antelopes. The scenery was breathtaking, and they both agreed that it was the perfect way to end a fantastic day.
On their way to the airport the next morning, Wendy and Bruce made a quick detour to see the famous Balancing Rocks, a unique geological formation just outside of Harare. The rocks are a popular tourist attraction, and they were amazed by the natural beauty and complexity of the formations.
Overall, Wendy and Bruce had a wonderful time in Harare. They saw some of the city’s most historic sites, enjoyed the natural beauty of the Kuimba Bird Park and Mukuvisi Woodlands, and had an unforgettable experience at the Lion Park. If you’re planning a trip to Harare, be sure to add these attractions to your itinerary – you won’t regret it!
