Wendy and Bruce continued their exciting adventure aboard the Silver Shadow, with their next stop being the stunning West African country of Ghana. Their excursion included two stops, the vibrant capital city of Accra, and the charming coastal city of Takoradi.

The first stop on their itinerary was Accra, a bustling city with a rich history and culture. One of their first destinations was the W.E.B Du Bois Memorial Center, which is dedicated to the life and legacy of the famous African-American civil rights leader and scholar. The centre also serves as a museum, showcasing Ghana’s history and culture, as well as the contributions of other notable individuals to the country’s progress.

Their next stop was at Erico carpentry shop, where they saw firsthand how the skilled artisans crafted beautiful and intricate caskets that reflected the professions and passions of the deceased. It was a unique and fascinating experience that allowed them to learn about Ghanaian funeral traditions and customs.

The last stop in Accra was at the Artists Alliance Gallery, which showcased the works of local artists. The gallery featured a diverse range of art forms, including paintings, sculptures, and textiles. Wendy and Bruce were blown away by the talent and creativity on display.

The next day, the ship docked in Takoradi, a charming coastal city known for its beautiful beaches and rich history. They were taken on a tour of the city, with a stop at the Bisa Aberwa Museum. The museum featured a collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcased the region’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

After the museum, they stopped at a local hotel, where they were treated to a thrilling performance of traditional Ghanaian music and dance. The group was made up of local musicians and dancers who showcased the vibrant and energetic rhythms of the region.
