This legendary journey begins in Reykjavik with an incredible overnight stay. With a cosmopolitan look and small-town soul, Reykjavik offers thrilling art, architecture, and gastronomy alongside an old-world charm that is sure to capture you.
Next up is isafjordur, a remote fishing community with a quaint Old Town and a lively arts and music scene. If you love horses, you’re in luck–your next destination, Skagafjordur, is the only county in Iceland where horses outnumber people. During an overnight stay in Akureyri, marvel at snow-capped mountain peaks, stunning fjords, and lush countryside. Known as the whale-watching capital of Iceland, the waters surrounding coastal Husavik are home to humpbacks, minke, and the mammoth blue whale. Then our last Iceland stop, Seydisfjordur, boasts some of the country’s most unique architecture, natural beauty, and friendly faces. A soothing day at sea prepares you for the lively and pretty port of Portree on the Isle of Skye. Lined with bright houses, fringed by cliffs, this is a great starting point to discover the spectacular Trotternish Ridge.
From the deep blue sea to the land of all things green, in the cultural city of Belfast, explore the museum dedicated to the famous RMS Titanic, constructed on the very site where the ill-fated ship was built. Or take a scenic drive down the Antrim Coast to the Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our journey comes to an end in Dublin, a UNESCO City of Literature. As friendly as the many pubs you’ll find during your visit, you’ll have no trouble lingering over the vibrant art, history, hip cafes, and the city’s beautiful river. Naturally you’ll want to pop into the Guinness Storehouse for a pint of the “black stuff” (or two) and raise your glass to Arthur.
Carved from fire and ice, Reykjavik is a city of contrasts at the edge of the world. Charming wood houses blend with cutting-edge designs, and avant-garde galleries mingle with local markets where locals love to gather. Plus, its natural beauty is beyond breathtaking.
Remote and magical, tucked away in the West Fjords of Iceland, you’ll find this pleasant fishing port. And you’ll find yourself surrounded by towering peaks and sights that will enchant you.
Endless natural treasures reside in Skagafjordur, home of the famed Icelandic horse, magnificent gorges, and jaw-dropping glaciers. Bird watching and white water rafting await, not to mention the call of a soothing hot spring ready to ease any lingering tensions at the end of the day. One of Iceland’s most important districts, a journey to Skagafjordur is not to be missed.
Set on the shores of one of Iceland’s most spectacular fjords, with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, Akureyri is quite a sight to behold. Only 60 miles from the Arctic Circle, summer temperatures can soar as high as 60°F. No surprise then that a main attraction is the Botanical Gardens, where over 2,000 species of native and non-native plants flourish without benefit of a greenhouse.
The whale-watching capital of Iceland, Husavik sits on the eastern shore of Skjálfandi Bay, where humpbacks, minke, and blue whales breach the waves and slap the water with their enormous fins. Geothermal springs south of town are the perfect spot to relax, while the Exploration Museum pays tribute to adventures mapping the globe, and beyond.
Alive with history and culture. Overflowing with natural beauty. Explore iconic architecture, crashing waterfalls, and local art.
This remote and little known fragment of Europe is an archipelago of 18 hilly islands, and a self-governing region of Denmark. Towns and villages cluster along the shores of fjords, and brightly painted houses in a rainbow of colors stand out against the deep green of fields and hillsides.
Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck.
In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.
Stroll along the slipways where the Titanic was built and explore a stunning new museum dedicated to the ship’s famous, ill-fated journey. Set out from the city and explore the otherworldly landscape of the Giant’s Causeway, with its hexagonal natural rock formations. Wet your whistle at the Bushmills distillery or settle into a classic pub for a pint of Guinness.
There’s a story waiting around every corner in Dublin. Spend time in Temple Bar and watch the city come alive, take a ghost tour to discover Dracula’s unnerving connection to Dublin, and behold a view you’ll never forget from the Observation Wheel. Of course, no Irish adventure is complete without a trip to the Guinness Storehouse where you’ll learn the history of Ireland’s most popular stout.
