This morning after breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic adventure tour of Bali. This fascinating tour highlights the landscape of Bali with its spectacular rice terrace views. You explore Bali through back roads of small villages like Pejaten, where you will see the traditional tile home industry. Drive up to Tegal Linggah village to reach the highly venerated temple of Batukaru. Situated on the slope of Mount Batukaru, amidst the serenity of the tropical rain forest, this ancient temple is one of the Island’s most sacred. Stop for a Balinese lunch (an additional expense) while enjoying the stunning rice view of Jati Luwih. Afterward, visit the colourful fruit and flower market at Candi Kuning, as well as the 17th century Ulun Danu water Temple, located on the shore of Lake Beratan.
Explore Bali on your own or just relax at leisure.
This full day tour has an emphasis on Bali’s history and temples and relates back to the ancient Javanese Hindu Kingdoms. Our tour begins with a visit to the Kehen temple with its enormous Banyan tree entrance. Continue to Besakih Temple, known as “Mother Temple”. It is the largest temple in Bali and the most important place of worship on the island. The scenery is spectacular as you head towards the east coast through the villages of Selat and Putung. Stop at the Tihingan Village to see a Gamelan (“Balinese music”) home industry and the authentic Bali Aga village. The Bali Aga, known as the original Balinese people, live in isolated areas in the mountains. The last stop on your return to your hotel will be by the shore to see the traditional salt making process, an age-old Balinese tradition.
Enjoy a pleasant short ride along the hills of Bali’s southern peninsula. This area, known as Bukit, offers a landscape and topography unrivalled by any other region of the island. Unlike the lush tropical countryside, this arid terrain, formed by millennia of coral sedimentations, is a world of its own. The beautiful-yet-wild beaches are heaven for surfers. In the corner of this peninsula, perched on a sheer cliff, is Uluwatu temple. Enjoy a memorable performance of The Ramayana-based Kecak Dance with the majestic temple and sunset as its background. The tour ends at Jimbaran Beach where you will enjoy a Seafood dinner, served on the beach.
