Turkmenistan Tour – 8 days

• Arrival at Ashgabat International Airport. Complete customs formalities with the assistance of your tour guide.

• Transfer to the hotel for check-in and time to rest.

• After lunch, begin the Ashgabat city tour and visit the main tourist attractions of the capital, including:

  • Independence Monument

  • Neutrality Arch

  • Earthquake monument

  • Ertogrul Gazi Mosque

  • Visit Gulistan Bazaar – one of the largest and oldest markets in Turkmenistan.

• Evening, Modern Landmark & Dinner at a local cafe

  • Visit Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center (Alem Ferris Wheel) — see the world’s largest indoor Ferris wheel, panoramic city views, and modern architecture.

  • Dinner at a traditional Turkmen restaurant in Ashgabat.

• Visit Altyn Asyr Bazaar, the largest bazaar
• in Turkmenistan, to experience the beauty of Turkmen carpets and jewelry, meet local people, and purchase souvenirs.
• At 14:00, board SUV jeep vehicles (3 persons per vehicle) and drive north to the village of Bokurdak to experience the traditional lifestyle of Turkmen people, try on traditional clothing, and see authentic Turkmen jewelry and handicrafts.
• Lunch en route

• Continue to Darvaza – the “Door to Hell” (276.1 km) to witness the spectacular and fascinating view of the famous gas crater.
• Arrive in the Darvaza area.
• Stop to visit the two smaller natural craters in the area:
  • The Mud Crater
  • The Water Crater

• Enjoy a BBQ dinner under the starry desert sky in the evening.

Overnight stay in a traditional yurt (2 persons per yurt).

• Enjoy a traditional Turkmen meal and savor the authentic flavors of the region, known for its rich meat dishes—especially lamb—and wheat-based specialties.
• After lunch, continue the tour by minibus.

❖ Visit Old Nisa, the Sanctuary of the Parthian Kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dating from the 3rd century BC to the 3rd century AD.

❖ Visit a Turkmen Art Bazaar to explore traditional artworks, paintings, and handicrafts. You may also try on local clothing (optional).

❖ Visit the Gypjak Mosque (Turkmenbashi Spiritual Mosque), the largest mosque in Turkmenistan.

❖ Dinner at a local cafe

• Visit the historical monuments of Kunya Urgench, including:
  • Kutlug Timur Minaret – the tallest minaret in Central Asia.
  • Turabek Khanum Mausoleum – famous for its magnificent mosaic dome.
  • Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum – the mausoleum of the Khorezm Shah ruler.
  • Il Arslan Mausoleum – one of the oldest monuments in the complex. 

• Lunch & Dinner in Dashoguz city.
• Drive back to Dashoguz city.
• Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Overnight.

• Continue to the Monument to the Constitution of Turkmenistan, one of the tallest monuments in the country.
• Visit the impressive Ferris Wheel (Ashgabat), also known as the indoor Ferris wheel, and a unique architectural landmark.
• Drive through the Ashgabat Olympic Complex, home of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2017.
• Lunch & Dinner in Ashgabat city.

• Night tour, driving along the main streets of Ashgabat, making a stop near the Ferris Wheel, Palace of Happiness.
