How to Pack for Adventure Travel

If you are planning on doing some adventure travel, we’ve put together a few packing tips to help get you started!

For every trip, make sure you have a light backpack with you to carry the day’s essentials; for example snacks, lunch, a change of clothes if needed, and any other daily essentials.
And of course ALWAYS remember your camera!!

  • Hat
  • Good socks to help protect your legs from scratchy flora
  • A poncho that will fit over your backpack to keep you and your belongings dry in case of a downpour
  • Casual clothes for the resort such as shorts, a light top, and sandals
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • Your bathing suit

Canoe adventure:

  • Nice gloves for paddling so as to avoid blisters and keep your hands warm
  • Water runners that dry quickly to avoid your feet being constantly wet.
  • A backpack with a change of clothes wrapped in a dry, waterproof bag.
  • Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses

Cycling Adventures:

  • Cycling shorts
  • Cycling shoes
  • Helmet
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses

Also, depending on which country you are travelling to, it is always best to check with your agent about any local dress customs – some countries have unspoken policies about what is or isn’t okay to wear in public.
