Amazing Golf Courses in Ireland & Scotland
Are you keen to play golf at some of the best courses in the world? Did you know a visit to Ireland and Scotland can give you that opportunity? Here’s a couple of courses to get you excited:
Machrihanish Golf Club, Machrihanish, Scotland
Enjoy views of Islay, Jura and Gigha Islands when you play this spectacular course! Located near the small town of Machrihanish, not far from Campbeltown, Machrihanish Golf Club features an 18 hole Championship Course as well as a 9 hole Pans Course.
Ballyliffin Golf Club, Ballyliffin, Ireland
Choose from two 18 hole courses at Ballyliffin Golf Club! The Old Links is a challenging, undulating course that makes the most of its natural terrain. The Glashedy Links is a course that’s been specially crafted around the dunes – you’re in for a treat whichever one you choose to play!
Askernish Golf Club, Askernish, Scotland
Nestled in the Outer Hebrides, the Askernish Golf Course is not to be missed! The course was originally created in 1891 by Old Tom Morris and was popular until the First World War. Nature began to take over the course gradually and it wasn’t until 2005 that the course was fully restored by the locals.
Royal Dornoch, Inverness, Scotland
Rated as one of the top courses in the world, the Royal Dornoch is – in one word – mesmerising! Rumour has it that golfers have been coming to play at Dornoch since 1616 and it’s not hard to see why. The course is isolated, far from any major city, with white sand beaches and soft dunes acting as its backdrop. This is definitely one for the bucket list!
